Overview
Singapore is a Southeast Asian Republic located off the southern part of the Malay Peninsula. Known for being the cleanest city in the world, Singapore is mostly covered by greenery. The city has much to offer visitors, and the job opportunities are endless within the city.
Chinatown
Chinatown is located in one of the districts of Singapore, and holds many cultural elements of the Chinese. As visitors enter Chinatown, they will see a large temple at the top of the street. Visitors may enter here and pray to Buddha before entering or when leaving Chinatown. The inside streets are filled with vendors and shops for shopping and eating. Shoppers can find many items inspired by the Asian culture. Clothing, jewelry, traditional clothing, home décor, souvenirs, shoes, etc, are sold in Chinatown. The Chinese vendors are known for being pushy when trying to make a sale. Visitors should try to barter when making purchases and not be pressured into buying something. There are also many restaurants in Chinatown. After shopping, visitors have a variety of restaurants that specialize in authentic Chinese food. Chinatown is very clean and a great spot to be exposed to the Asian culture.The Marina Mall
The mall in Singapore is amazing and enjoyable to shop. There are two floors and many designers have shops inside. Designers include: Luis Vuitton, Cartier, Channel, Miu Miu, Dior, etc. The mall’s more prestigious stores are located on the upper level. More affordable brands are carried on the first floor. Gondola rides are also available on the first floor; a waterway has been made to carry shoppers from one end of the mall to the other. There is a large casino inside the mall attracting many visitors each year. The food court is not a typical food court. The food court houses all types of Asian food shops where shoppers can select which type they want to have prepared for them. There are also restaurants within the mall specializing in fine dining cuisine. The mall is very impressive in size, cleanliness, and offerings; visitors are highly encouraged to stop by.
Singapore Flyer
The Singapore Flyer is the largest Ferris wheel in the world. This giant observation wheel is approximately 165 meters. The Ferris wheel is in the perfect location to see beautiful parts of Singapore. From different angles, the city buildings can be seen. Other attractions that can be seen include: a racetrack, a floating soccer field, the sea, and greenery areas. On special days, visitors are able to watch races or sailboat competitions from up high. The Ferris wheel is a great way to see Singapore at a reasonable price.
